SSL Checker
An SSL checker reviews a website's TLS certificate and connection details. This page explains common certificate checks but does not currently inspect websites.
What does a certificate check include?
A certificate review may check whether the certificate covers the requested domain, whether it is within its validity dates, and whether the certificate chain leads to a trusted authority. Modern secure web connections use TLS, although “SSL checker” remains a common name for these tools.
What should I do about a warning?
Check that the domain name is correct and that the certificate has not expired. Website operators should renew certificates and install the full certificate chain. A certificate helps secure a connection, but it does not by itself prove that a website or its business is trustworthy.
